SciLit Academy is a personalized science literacy platform that helps students master the reading comprehension and data analysis skills measured by the ACT Science test. The app begins with a short adaptive diagnostic that places each learner on a clear developmental path — from Foundational to Advanced — with grade-equivalent scores, Lexile ranges, and detailed sub-scores across vocabulary, main idea extraction, data analysis, and scientific argumentation. From there, students work through ACT-authentic passages drawn from recently published science articles, with lessons tailored to their interests and ability level.
The platform is built for three audiences. Students get a gamified experience with experience points, badges, streaks, and ten themed levels that keep motivation high. Teachers receive class dashboards, lesson assignment tools, real-time progress monitoring, and printable reports that turn raw activity data into clear intervention signals. District administrators gain aggregate diagnostics and cross-school reporting to track literacy outcomes at scale.
